Sadly, this is our final catalogue before Phil-Index closes down for good. I suppose we should be looking forward to the extra time we shall have for ourselves in which we can do other things, however, we will definitely miss searching out and buying good material and spreading it through our stocks for our collectors to find and add to their collections. But the time is right I feel while we are relatively healthy and before "bits start dropping off" as Brenda would say. We can of course reflect on nearly 60 enjoyable years in the stamp business, under various guises and ending up as French Colony specialists, despite the ups and downs there have been at times. We are particularly grateful for the loyalty so many have shown to us with repeat orders lasting quite a few decades. I'm beginning to feel like Methusulah with all this talk so will stop there. I hope that our collectors will continue to find good sources of supply to keep their collections building nicely. I have indulged myself with a short "potted" history of my philatelic career if anyone wishes to read it, at the back of this catalogue.
