It seems our first stock-list catalogue has been well received and my thanks for all the positive feedback. We will continue with its production every 2 months or so with illustrations of the many better stamps in stock. Although some items will sell out before the next issue, bear in mind that for most stamps we hold more than one example in our stocks. For those on-line it will be simple to check whether any items are still available, as well as any stamps newly added.

We had the most useful addition to our purchases recently. It was a fine French Colony collection with its main strength in the long sets from 1910 to 1950 fine mint including Vichy issues. Although we already hold many values of that period, it is good to find the more elusive values within those long sets. It may be worth a perusal of the updated lists to check out any gaps.

The Colonies added over the last ten days are mainly Guadeloupe, Guiana, Guinea, Indian S., Indo-China, Inini, Kwangchow, Laos, Madagascar, New Caledonia, Niger, Oceanic S., Reunion, Saar, St Pierre-M., Senegal, Sudan, Togo and some useful Tunisia.

Of all the colonies, Tunisia really needs a complete overhaul in the SG catalogue. SG have tried to combine the chronological issue dates with the same design long sets, unsuccessfully in my mind and resulting in a myriad of abc catalogue numbers. The chronological collectors may disagree but I find keeping the same designs together, results in a far more attractive layout in one’s album. It would necessitate a complete change of SG numbering which would initially drive us all mad, but in the long term be better for future Tunisia collectors.

The sharp-eyed amongst you may have noticed that we have continued our long-held policy of reducing prices of unsold items, which we are doing every update for the "Special Stamps" and "Space-fillers" sections above. They may be worth another glance.    Terry Garcia.
